If you’re comparing Bath Fitter and Zintex, you probably want answers to a few straightforward questions: What will my tub or shower project cost? How do the products and warranties compare? And who do I call if I need help afterward?
Both companies offer bath and shower remodeling. We’ll compare their published pricing, products and warranty information, then show you what to ask the local team before signing. A whole-room renovation or a different product may be the better choice for your bathroom.
We’re writing from the Bath Fitter side of the table. Bath Fitter Fam is the Mullikin family’s group of local Bath Fitter franchises, serving homeowners since Louie Mullikin opened our first office in 2003. The Bath Fitter brand began in 1984; Zintex’s company history dates its business to 2001.
What should you compare before choosing a remodeler?
Start with three things: the exact product being installed, who takes care of you after installation, and the team that will serve your home. A recognizable brand is useful, but it does not replace a detailed proposal.
- Who makes the product? Ask for the manufacturer, product line and model. A dealer can provide excellent products and service; manufacturing a product does not by itself guarantee a better installation.
- What does the warranty cover? Separate material defects from installation problems. Ask who handles each claim, what labor is included, what exclusions apply and whether coverage transfers.
- Who does the work locally? Read reviews for the office serving your ZIP, ask about employee installers or subcontractors, and confirm how questions and follow-up visits are handled.
How do Bath Fitter and Zintex compare at a glance?
A one-piece acrylic wall system is a wall surface formed without grout lines. Product lines offered by other remodelers may use different materials or panel layouts. Ask to see a sample of the system in your quote.

What will your project cost?
Compare two written proposals for the same work. A tub-to-shower conversion, a replacement shower and a whole-room renovation have different scopes. Price alone will not tell you whether two proposals include the same preparation or products.
Our current installed planning ranges, based on the October 13, 2026 pricing update, are $8,500–$17,000 for a tub-to-shower conversion, $8,000–$17,000 for replacing an existing shower and $7,500–$16,500 for a bathtub remodel. Some projects fall outside these ranges. Your written quote follows a review of the bathroom, selections and work needed.
Zintex’s walk-in shower cost guide, dated August 11, 2025, lists $11,000–$16,000 for standard projects, $15,000–$18,000 for midrange projects and $18,000–$22,000+ for deluxe projects. The tiers vary by wall choices, enclosure and accessories. Ask for current pricing and availability from the office serving you.
Those figures do not establish which company would cost less for your bathroom. They come from different dates and project definitions. Compare the same wall system, shower dimensions, doors, fixtures, seats and preparation before calculating a price difference.
Whole-room pricing needs its own comparison. Zintex’s July 22, 2026 full bathroom guide discusses work beyond the bathing area and says that service is exclusive to the Dallas area. Do not use a full-bathroom figure as the price of a shower replacement, or assume that service is offered in Oklahoma City or Little Rock.
Confirm demolition, disposal, plumbing, wall preparation and accessories in each proposal. Our current pricing guidance includes dry-rot remediation within the wet area; extensive structural work or work outside that area needs a separate written scope. Ask each company what would trigger a change order. The Bath Fitter cost guide explains the selections that change our estimates.
Both companies offer online estimate tools. For our local Bath Fitter markets, you can get a free instant estimate before booking a visit. It is a planning range based on your choices. We still need to confirm the bathroom and project details before providing a final quote, and our team may follow up.
Who makes the tub, shower and walls?
Bath Fitter manufactures the acrylic systems our local crews install. Our Mullikin Group offices are part of the Bath Fitter franchise network, with local teams handling your project and service questions. Your local office is your starting point for questions about the work and service after installation.
Zintex offers products from other manufacturers. If you like a particular style or brand, ask to see the exact system that would go into your bathroom.
If both a Zintex proposal and another company’s proposal mention Jacuzzi, do not assume they are identical. Compare the product line, dimensions, accessories, installation scope and warranty documents. The brand name alone is not enough.
For our systems, the one-piece wall is an important practical feature: no grout lines to scrub. Sealed joints around fixtures and other transitions still need appropriate care. We’ll walk you through how to care for it.
How do the product and installation warranties compare?
A warranty matters most when you need to use it. Before signing, find out what is covered and who you would call.
Bath Fitter’s published acrylic product warranty addresses qualifying Bath Fitter-manufactured products. The current terms include conditions, exclusions and transfer provisions. Installation errors fall outside that manufacturer warranty, so installation coverage is a separate question. Ask our local office for the installation coverage and the terms for any separately covered components.
Zintex’s warranty explanation distinguishes manufacturer warranties from its advertised lifetime labor and installation coverage. It also describes a transfer provision tied to selling within two years. Get the documents that apply to the exact products and contract you are considering.
The details matter more than the headline. Ask both companies who handles a claim years later, whether repair labor is included, which exclusions apply and what happens when you sell your home. Hold us to the same standard.
How long does installation take, and how long will you wait?
Our installations can take as little as one day, although some projects take longer. Zintex advertises many installations in one to two days. Those statements describe time at your home. They do not tell you how soon an installer can arrive.
Ask for two numbers: the anticipated wait from signing to installation, and the number of days your bathroom will be affected. Product availability, local scheduling and conditions discovered during preparation can change either number. Your local team can explain what to expect for your particular bathroom.
What do local Bath Fitter customers say about the work?
Good communication and care for your home matter as much as the finished bathroom. Here are two customers’ experiences with our local teams. These are Bath Fitter reviews, not head-to-head comparisons with Zintex.
Oklahoma City: explaining the work and cleaning up
“Explained the process of what he needed to do and cleaned up everything and left it neater than he found it.”
Mike Evans · Oklahoma City market · Google review, November 2025 · Oklahoma City review collection
Mike appreciated that Walter explained the bathtub installation and left the work area clean. Those are good expectations to discuss with any crew coming into your home.
Memphis: answering questions about the finished shower
“Bryan explained any questions I had and how to use my beautiful new shower.”
Susan Boscaccy · Memphis market · Bath Fitter customer review source
Susan’s experience points to another question worth asking any remodeler: who explains how to use and care for the new shower before the crew leaves? Browse our selected customer reviews and read the local source profiles, including critical feedback, before choosing.
When might Zintex be the better fit?

- You are specifically shopping for a walk-in tub or a product line your local Bath Fitter office does not offer.
- Its available products suit a project that your local Bath Fitter office does not offer.
- Its written scope, design choices and local team fit your priorities better.
Do both companies serve your address?
The Bath Fitter Fam group includes Augusta, Upstate SC/Western NC, Columbia, Little Rock, Memphis, Oklahoma City and Tri Cities. You can check the communities we serve in our service-area directory.
Our group is only part of the Bath Fitter network. If we don’t serve your address, enter your ZIP in Bath Fitter’s corporate location finder to find another Bath Fitter location. That team can explain its services, pricing and availability. You can also check Zintex’s locations when comparing your local options.
When might Bath Fitter Fam be the better fit?
- You want to remodel the tub or shower area rather than coordinate a whole-room renovation.
- You prefer a custom-fit Bath Fitter acrylic system with a one-piece wall and no grout lines.
- You want our local employee crews, with a nearby office to contact about your project.
- Our design, written scope, price and local service record match what matters to you.

Which five questions should you ask both companies?
- Who manufactures the exact products in this quote, and which models and accessories are included?
- Who handles product and installation claims separately, what labor is covered, and does coverage transfer?
- Are the installers employees or subcontractors, and what licensing and insurance apply to this job?
- If preparation reveals rot or damaged plumbing, what is included and what requires a change order?
- What is the expected wait until installation, and how many days will the work itself take?
So which one should you choose?
Choose the company whose scope fits the job, whose local team you trust and whose written commitments you understand. Look at the products you like, the work included in the price and how comfortable you feel with the people who will be doing it.
Get both quotes where both companies serve you. Ask the five questions. Read both warranty documents. Whatever you decide, make sure the work you expect is the work in the agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Is Zintex a Bath Fitter dealer?
No. Zintex is a separate remodeling company that offers products from manufacturers including Jacuzzi. Bath Fitter Fam is the Mullikin Group’s local Bath Fitter franchise operation.
Do Bath Fitter and Zintex serve the same areas?
Some local areas overlap. Bath Fitter Fam serves seven markets through the Mullikin Group, but our group is only part of the Bath Fitter network. If we don’t serve your address, enter your ZIP in Bath Fitter’s corporate location finder at https://www.bathfitter.com/us-en/find-your-store/ to find another Bath Fitter location. Check each local office’s coverage and available services.
Which company has the better warranty?
Compare the written terms for your specific project. Bath Fitter’s qualifying acrylic products have manufacturer lifetime coverage subject to conditions and exclusions; confirm installation coverage separately. Zintex advertises manufacturer product warranties and lifetime labor coverage. Ask both about covered labor, exclusions, transfer rules and who handles claims.
Do both companies publish pricing information?
Yes. Our October 2026 installed tub-to-shower conversion planning range is $8,500–$17,000. Zintex’s August 2025 shower guide lists standard projects at $11,000–$16,000, midrange at $15,000–$18,000 and deluxe at $18,000–$22,000+. These are different dates and scopes, not matched quotes. Ask both local offices for a current written proposal; online estimates are planning tools.
Which company installs a bathroom faster?
Bath Fitter projects can be installed in as little as one day, while some take longer. Zintex advertises many installations in one to two days. Ask both for the wait until installation as well as the time on site; product availability, scope and site conditions affect the schedule.
If Zintex quotes Jacuzzi, is it the same as another Jacuzzi Bath Remodel quote?
Not necessarily. The same brand name does not establish identical products or work. Compare the exact product line, models, accessories, preparation, installation scope and written warranties in each proposal.
